The Board of Trustees, as a governing body, has the ability to appoint Trustee representatives to various committees/boards. The El Paso Central Appraisal District (EPCAD) Board of Directors is among these.
The El Paso Central Appraisal District Board of Directors is the governing body of the Appraisal District and is comprised of nine (9) members who represent the taxing jurisdictions in the County, and are appointed by the governing bodies of the jurisdictions with voting entitlement – that is, counties, school districts and incorporated towns and cities. Among the EPCAD Board’s primary responsibilities as the governing body of the Appraisal District are: the establishment of the appraisal district office, selection of the Chief Appraiser, and adoption of the operating budget.
To be eligible to serve on the Board of Directors, an individual must be a resident of the CAD and must have resided in the CAD for at least two years immediately preceding the date of taking office.
Trustees Israel Irrobali and Josh Acevedo are currently serving on the EPCAD Board of Directors. The current term for EPCAD's Board of Directors concludes on December 31, 2023. Trustees Irrobali and Acevedo have expressed their interest in continuing serving on the El Paso Central Appraisal District Board of Directors for the 2024 term, which concludes on December 31, 2024.
